To achieve an effective match between a client and candidate’s needs, it is important to be clear on what experience and skills you have to offer. In our initial conversations with you, we will:

 Discuss your professional background, what industries you have worked in, what domains you are most comfortable with, if you have geographical preferences … and more;

 Get a feel for your strengths and weaknesses and your depth of knowledge and level of experience in the job skills and tools you have used, as well as how long you have used them;

 Assess your soft skills such as communication, adaptability, initiative and ability to deal with conflict and/or job challenges; and,

 Be clear on what sets you apart as a top notch candidate for a client.

Staying on top of all open job requisitions, the PSSI IT Recruiting Team is able to search and match skills to job requirements. Our process to locate a match of a suitable candidate to a client job requisition is as follows:

 Search the PSSI database of available candidates to find those whose experience and job skills match closely with what the client is looking for;

 Call potential candidates to determine if they are interested in reviewing the potential position;

 Provide the candidate with the job description for review and consideration;

 Conduct a telephone call with the candidate to review the job description and reach agreement on whether or not it is a viable option for the candidate;

 Once in agreement that it is a good match and that the candidate wants to be submitted for consideration, a Tentative Offer (T/O) is sent to the candidate with appropriate attachments (e.g., Right to Represent, Skills Breakdown, etc.); and,

 It is incumbent on the candidate to promptly complete and return the documents so they can be submitted to the client before the submission period closes out.

Once a candidate has been submitted to the client for a specific job requisition, PSSI awaits response from the client to indicate whether or not they would like to move forward with an interview. If they do, the candidate is notified of the proposed time and date for the interview.

After the interview has taken place, if the client selects the candidate for the position, then a formal offer is made and once the candidate accepts the offer, the PSSI Hiring Process is initiated.

Once you have accepted a client offer, the following is what to expect next:

 You will need to complete an on-line application and authorize a background check;

 Upon receipt of your background release forms, PSSI will order the background check. Background checks include nationwide criminal record investigation (international, if
appropriate), credit check (if required by client), and drug testing (based on client requirements);

 Once the background check is completed and deemed satisfactory, PSSI will coordinate with the client and you to finalize a start date;

 A New Hire & Benefits packet will be sent to you from PSSI; and,

 Prior to your start date, PSSI will conduct its New Hire Onboarding Process, which includes having you:

    o Complete all payroll and benefits enrollment required by PSSI Corporate.

    o Read, sign and return the PSSI Confidentiality Agreement (and client’s, if applicable).

    o Sign and return any other paperwork the client requires prior to start date.

 How things are going for you on the job … are you happy and is it what you expected;

 Changes in client and/or project expectations so there are no unexpected surprises;

 Client’s assessment of your on-site performance (to proactively team with you to prevent/resolve issues); and,

 Contract duration and whether or not you should expect an offer of an extension from the client, or if we need to proactively start looking for new positions for you toward the end of a contract.
